Copper Wire Scrap (Mill-Berry) is a buyer inquiry category for clean, bare copper wire intended for metal recovery. Wire condition and contamination are as important to a recycler as the quoted copper content.
Grade & buyer requirements
A minimum 99.9% Cu request is a marketplace reference target. Specify uninsulated, uncoated wire and agree limits for oxidation, oil, solder, attachments and mixed metals. Ask for current lot photographs, a representative inspection and net copper-bearing weight. Any formal scrap classification requires separate agreement.
Applications
Secondary copper feedstock for recycling, remelting and refining, subject to the receiving facility’s process and inspection criteria.
Packing & shipment
Discuss compact bundles, bales or suitable bags. Agree bale dimensions, net weights, contamination checks and safe handling arrangements for container loading.
