Tantalum is available as a concentrate inquiry or as a refined-metal inquiry. Buyers should identify the intended processing route and reporting unit before comparing grades.
Grade & buyer requirements
A 30% Ta₂O₅ request for mineral concentrate is distinct from a 99.95% Ta target for refined metal. For concentrate, request niobium oxide, moisture, mineralogy and the impurity assay. For metal, specify the required bar, rod, powder or other form, dimensions and residual-element limits; each form requires confirmation at quotation.
Applications
Concentrate feeds tantalum recovery and separation. Refined tantalum is used downstream in electronics and corrosion-resistant industrial components when it meets the manufacturer’s requirements. No application-specific qualification is implied by a purity target alone.
Packing & shipment
Discuss sealed, lined bags or drums for concentrate and protective containers for refined metal. Agree identification, weights, sampling and handling requirements for the selected form.
